Mosfet Shortage
Due to capacity reallocation and reduction from record high merger and acquisition (M&A) activity in the last couple of years and demand increase in IoT, automotive and other emerging markets, the electronics industry has been facing severe shortages from the second half of 2017 into 2019. It was expected that the shortages would be relieved in 2019. However, recently different sales channels of On Semi and Infineon informed that 100V/120V/150V mosfets are largely bought by Huawei, Cisco and other leading telecom tycoon for 5G products, which means mosfet shortage will last and be more severe in the coming months.

HelenI think the shortage of Mosfet is due to On-semi marketing strategy,and the shortage should last for a short period,most of the Mosfet manufacturers increased prices last year ,according to the market change rule ,they will spit out money this year.
