Buck DC-DC converter created to operate at elevated junction temperatures
Date:2020-04-08 06:20:00 Posted by:LT.Yang View:251Texas Instruments LM5163H-Q1 High-Temperature Buck DC-DC Converter is created to operate at elevated junction temperatures, up to 165C. This allows high-density solutions that support high ambient temperature and output power specifications.
The device functions over a broad input voltage range, reducing the requirement for external surge suppression components. A minimum controllable on-time of 50ns aids large step-down conversion ratios, allowing the direct step-down from a 48V nominal input to low-voltage rails for decreased system complexity and solution cost. The device runs during input voltage dips as low as 6V, at nearly 100% duty cycle if required. This makes the device an attractive choice for high-performance 48V battery automotive applications and MHEV/EV systems. The devices are AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications.
Typical applications include automotive 48V mild-hybrid ECU bias supplies, HEV/EV DC-DC converters, and automotive high-temperature ADAS applications.
